Guest guest
I've been doing morning sadhana for about a week now. I also do yoga and meditation in the evening. The evening is the time that I've been doing Har Har Har Har Gobinday (and I'm at day 23 so far). I usually sit in easy pose for that meditation for the first 11 minutes, then lay in corpse pose for another 11 to 21 minutes. I switch because my left leg begins to feel like circulation is being restricted near the top of my leg. This morning, while I was meditating, I decided to stay in easy pose and see if it would pass. But after 21 minutes my left leg was completely 'asleep'. I'm fairly certain that there is a large vein that runs down the inside of each thigh. Is it possible that I'm somehow pinching it and restricting the blood flow? I don't know why it would only be my left leg though. The right one never bothers me. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Sat Nam Christa
Guest guest
Sat Nam Christa, Try sitting in a chair, that has good back support where you can put your feet flat on the floor. BUT NO EASY CHAIRS!! :-) I've been using a chair for a few years, because knee pain is high after about 30-40 minutes. Guest guest
Thanks Brad, I hadn't thought of that. I was hoping to try to 'work through' the leg problem. But I'll try the chair tonight. Christa
Guest guest
Christa, We get caught up in 'working through', some of the solutions are very simple. I had the same info delivered to me the same way, so not everyone needs it you just pass it along to those who do. Try to get something like an office chair with arms. I rest my hands in Gyan mudra on my thighs, but the arms help my shoulders, one of which aches from an old injury if it doesn't have any support.
