Guest guest
This may sound a little weird, but I was curious about something. I've noticed that when I feel myself go deeper into meditation, usually a 'black eye' appears to me during meditation. At least that's what I call it. It's basically one, big, black eye-shaped thing. I never see any eyelashes or anything extraneous, just essentially the front view of an eyeball. And it's distinctly different from the rest of the black that you see with your eyes closed. I had assumed this was common during deeper meditation. Then last week, I had just finished my asanas (Nabhi kriya was the last one). I was laying there after the one section, just focusing/meditating briefly between exercises. I could feel my whole body really 'buzzing'. The black eye appeared. It's never shown up during asanas before. For whatever reason (I don't know why I did it), I put my hands in prayer pose and then placed the backs of my thumbs on my third eye. As soon as I touched my forehead, there was an explosion of blue-ish purple color. But instead of being the usual morphing ball thing, the color completely filled the eye. I was now staring at a beautiful blue eye. The amazing this was that it wasn't all one solid shade of blue, like it is when it's all black. The color gradiated from solid to some lighter shades as it went from the center to the edges, just like the colors of eyes vary along the eye. I was completely in awe. I pulled my hands away, but it stayed there. I just layed there and watched it for a few minutes. Then I sat up and did my meditation. But it went away before I started my meditation. I did some searches on this list and on the internet and haven't found any mention anywhere of a black eye. Has anyone else experienced this before? If so, do you have any idea what it is? Guest guest
Christa, I usually have a single dark eye appear if I turn my focus to the third eye. It has always been there so I thought it represented 'the third eye.' It comes into focus and then I seem to go through it like a window. I never thought much about it until you mentioned it. But, I experience this very often and always have. -Heidi

Thought you and some other members might enjoy seeing this link with a graphic of the third eye: http://www.orindaben.com/SuperLong/lb917_8.htm Sat nam, Celeste Kundaliniyoga, "spatialagent1" <spatialagent1> wrote: As soon as I touched my forehead, there was > an explosion of blue-ish purple color.
