Guest guest
The 3rd Part of Kirtan Sohila ("Hymn of Praise")- the nightime/death prayer Rag Dhanasri Mahalla 1 1. The sky is the platter The moon and sun are thy lamp The stars are thy scattered form And the waftring scent of sandalwood thy incense And the breeze is thy fan. These along with the flowers of vegetation are laid as offering at thy feet. What other worship can be compared to natures own festival of life. While the divine music resounds within. 2. Thousand are thine eyes and yet thou hast no eyes Thousand are thy forms and yet thou hast no form Thousand are thine feet and yet thou hast no feet I'm enchanted with thy play 3. It's the light which lives in every heart and thy light which illumines every soul It's only through the Guru's Teaching that the light can be shown. Whatever is pleasing to thee that is the True Worship 4. And my mind/soul is greedy as the bumble bee, Night and day I long to drink the ambrosia of your lotus feet I am like the thirsty bird Waiting to receive the water which is the nectar of your kindness. So that I may live in the ecstasy So that you may live in the ecstasy So that we may live in the ecstasy of Thy Name.
