She has been on medication for the past few years and I guess this constipation problem is one of the side effects. Also, she has bloated after taking these medications. Since early January this year, I have been monitoring her water intake, fruit and vegetable intake and yoga exercises regularly via email ( She is in India, and I am in US ). Her condition has considerably improved since then and her constipation problems has come down quite well ( it has now averaged out to two days per week as against the earlier 6/7 days per week). She sounds quite energetic these days and she drinks about 14 glasses of water per day, but the constipation problem still persists, which speaks of the intense level of dehydration her body has experienced (this has probably been the root cause of all her health problems). I read somewhere that the Plow exercise is especially beneficial for dealing with constipation and my sister has been doing this exercise along with other yoga asanas. Can you please let me know if you have further tips on dealing with constipation and dehydration problems? Thanks very much, gayathri
Guest guest
I do babypose or gurupranam wagging my tail as though it weight 100 pounds. All the asana that massage the belly are also good for me, bow rocking back and forth with a strong breath, lotus holding my fists at the panty line are also good. In Sadhana Guidelines, there is a bladder kriya that is excellent for the second chakra, the water chakra. You might find it on line. I always was constipated when I did other yogas. That has completely stopped with KY. Now I go several times a day!
