Guest guest
Hi Oriol Welcome to our online community. I hope you enjoy your time with us. I can't advise on the compatibility of Bhakti and Kundalini Yoga, but would ask that you confine your posts to this list to the subject of Kundalini Yoga. Sat Nam! Guest guest
Hello Orion, my beloved teacher Gurunam would say: If you can't sea God in every Holy teaching, you can't see him... - so I think: You can do your "old" way with Bhakti Yoga and your "new" way with KundaliniYoga together, for a while..., make your own experience, - then you will see, which way is the best for you... You can write to this list without any fear - my English is'nt very good too! But all people are very tolerant and kind, they are real KundaliniYogis :-) Sonja 02.07.02 16:01:45, "gordon" <gordon wrote: >Hi Oriol > >Welcome to our online community. Guest guest
I believe I am not the only one to have observed that the Sikh religion is the epitome of the Bhakti Yoga approach. (I think Pearl Buck also made the observation.) Bhakti in essence is "devotion." The Siri Guru Grant Sahib emphasizes unmitigated devotion to the Nam, the Guru and their true devotees as the highest spiritual practice. If ky is compatible with Sikhism, it must be compatible with other Bhakti-type approaches such as those devoted to Krsna. (Although, I believe both Sikhism and the Baghavad Gita consider the practice of yoga to be inferior to unconditional devotion as way to union with God.)
