Guest guest
Gururattan, I've noticed you often recommend your books. I have recently gone to the site, where the number of books and CDs overwhelmed me a bit. If I won the lottery I think the third thing I would do would be to buy one of everything and then sit and devour them at my leisure but, ....I don't buy lottery tickets so I think I need some help. I have been doing the spinal set since last December, it has provided me benefits far beyond my wishes and needs. I no longer have difficulty kneeling, and I can't even remember the last time I had a stressed-tight neck or headaches. I get a strong naval pulse and feel very strong and balanced emotionally, negativity from others is now no more bothersome than a mosquito. A few times I got off track and didn't do the spinal set of 5 days or so and the effect was very surprising, knees got achey, acid reflux came back, etc... I find myself quickly getting back on track. I wish I have had more luck with the millet diet two weeks is my limit, I have a B12 deficiency, so I may try again with supplements. Now I could happily continue starting my day with the spinal set forever but I feel the need to continue. I would like to work on my chakras but I am not near a teacher. I am moving in a few months to an area near KY instructor but I doubt I will be able to go until November or so. I did check out one of Yogi Bhajan's books from the library; it was great and also offered specific sets for certain ailments. I wonder if you could recommend a next level book for me and perhaps a few to follow up? I would also like a CD with the basic chants you refer to in the lessons, all the CDs sound wonderful, I can't decide! blessings, walk in beauty -cris

Hey, I am just a little bit curios: What are no 1 and no 2 on your To-Do-List after winning the lottery??? Just a note: Spinal flex is GREAT. I am also spending most of my time in front of a computer (like now) and am always exposed to some problems with the lower back. The spinal flex is really THE cure for all spine related problems. Brad in reading: my sciatic nerve is getting better and better. Another note to share: a student of mine had co-incidentily the same problem and did not trust in KY and the natural selfhealing powers, now she is receiving a lot of *expensive* treatment with chiropractic, acupressure and massage without a noticeable result... Keep up doing the good stuff, Juergen

Guest guest
Yes, my sister is also spending a lot of money on treatments and suffering the side-effects of her medicines; so sad. I was hoping she would see how well I feel but she just assumes I never really had any problems ;-) On Monday, July 8, 2002, at 10:35 PM, Jurgen Laske wrote: > Another note to share: a student of mine had co-incidentily the same > problem > and did not trust in KY and the natural selfhealing powers, now she is > receiving a lot of *expensive* treatment with chiropractic, acupressure > and > massage without a noticeable result... > -cris Cris Naugle SpiralXdesign, Inc http://www.spiralxdesign.com Walk in Beauty
Guest guest
Sat Nam Christine, Jurgen, all, "did not trust in KY and the natural selfhealing powers, now she is > receiving a lot of *expensive* treatment with chiropractic, acupressure > and massage without a noticeable result." "sister is also spending a lot of money on treatments and suffering the side-effects of her medicines; so sad. I was hoping she would see how well I feel but she just assumes I never really had any problems" My cousins mother passed last year after battling r. arthritis for 10-15 years, her hands were like claws. The Dr. had her on some arthiritis medication that helped the arthritis, but like many drugs, destroyed something else in the process. On the flipside, I've always been "self-help", "alternative", seeing doctors is last resort me. I suggested one day that she try glucosamine for the arthritis, she said "well, the doctor didn't tell me anything about that. I'm just going by what he tells me." The side effects destroyed her kidneys. Many people are scared to take their life in their hands. Karmic fear? Some people (us) are not. Long live KY, Wahe Guru! Guest guest
Brad- I hear what you are saying, but my attitude is slightly different. I'm in a similar situation with my mother. She has minear's disease (not sure I'm spelling that correctly). She attends church regularly. She sees the doctor and usually does what he tells her. She'll listen sometimes when I discuss alternatives with her, but usually only if I can 'prove' that they have a 'western' impact as well. Meaning, that only if an herbal extract was in a study published in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) will she give it credit, or something like that. I lent her my yoga videos and CDs, but she couldn't get into them. She came over once and did a session with me, but didn't come back. She just didn't feel a need to. We have a close relationship, and we are open with each other. But I don't celebrate that she doesn't feel drawn to yoga or internal (meaning without church) spiritual growth and healing. I don't push it on her either. I talk about it and what changes I'm feeling and seeing in myself. That's why she tried it the one time. I think she's curious, but doesn't have the desire to act on it. I've been doing Ra Ma Da Sa as my second 40 day med target. So each night I do it, I picture her, my sister and my brother at different times during the chant. (there's quite a bit of emotional baggage in my family from an alcholic father). Its the only way I know of right now to help them heal themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually, without them making an effort on their part to try yoga. I would love for them to feel the connection that I do, but I don't fault them for not feeling it. I am happy that I have found it, but in that it fulfills me and also provides me with ways to 'pray' for them as well. Christa
Guest guest
Christa, I agree with you about letting people go their own way. Kundalini Yoga is the right path for us, but not necessarily the right path for other people, no matter how healing it can be. Sometimes people need thier conditions to work out their karma, and other times it is another branch of the healing arts that will awaken their healing powers. It's very easy to get caught up with what seems more natural , right and it tune, but this is not necessarily the best path for everybody. What one believes in has a huge effect on getting the body into healing mode. "Love, Medicine and Miracles" by Bernie Seigal is very interesting on this subject. All we can, or should do, is love, support and pray for whatever is in their highest interest, whatever that may be. And it's not always what we would like it to be. Guest guest
Very well said Avtar. That is my philosophy as well. Although you phrased it much better than I did! Christa
