Guest guest
Hi Cris > Several months ago, I checked out one of Yogi Bhajan's books from the > library; it was wonderful and also offered specific sets for certain > ailments. But I don't remember the title. Check out Yoga for Health & Healing, available from our site. This is based on YBs teachings and sounds as if it is what you are looking for. > I would be very grateful, if someone familiar with the web site could > recommend a next level book for me and perhaps a few to follow up? I would suggest either Transitions to a Heart Centered World or Relax & Renew. Both are very popular, and contain a tremendous amount of material. > I would also like to order a CD with some of the basic chants Gururattan > refers to in her lessons, all the CDs on the site seem wonderful, but I > am on a Mac with OSX and can't listen to RealTime, only QT and MP3s, so > I can't sample them and I can't decide which one to order. This is a difficult one, as a lot of it is down to your own tastes in music. The Yoga of Sound series from Mata Mandir Singh is excellent. Also, Gurunam's CDs are very popular - we have just added two new ones at the end of last week. Guru Singh is amazing - aptly named "spirit rock"! Then we have a choice of 4 or 5 sadhana CDs from various artists, which you would need to listen to excerpts from before deciding, and various other CDs for meditation and relaxation. Can't you borrow a PC from someone to check them all out? I hope this has been of some help to you. Sat Nam! Gordon

I'll be in NY next week and I will try listening to some of the samples on the site in muy in-laws PC. thank you again! cris
Guest guest
Dear Christine, I do spinal series everyday too. For me is the basic maintanence requirement. Then I add based on how much time I have and what I want to work on at the time. I too recommend Transitions to a Heart Centered World as your next book. The CD I love is Aquarian Sadhana. I have listened to it everyday for many years and still love it. Even when I cannot chant the whole thing I use it as background music for my ky practice. It is beautiful and mellow. There are others, but that depends on what meditations you want to do. > recommend a next level book for me and perhaps a few to follow up? The 3 classics are Transitions, Relax and Renew and Sexuality and Sprituality. You can get one at a time. There are over a hundred sets and meditations in each one. Plenty to choose from! Sat Nam. Ah, thank you you reminded me of a question I have been meaning to ask! After I finish the spinal set and I've rested in sponge and then meditated, do I then retune in and start a new set? or just do some extra positions? I would really like to work on the abdominals, I think I did a lower 3 chakra set once. Then do I do the sponge and meditate again? This may seem like a silly or obvious thing but it's had me confused. -cris Cris Naugle SpiralXdesign, Inc http://www.spiralxdesign.com Walk in Beauty

Guest guest
Dear Cris, > After I finish the spinal set and I've rested in sponge and then meditated, do I then retune in and start a new set? No. Tuning in at the beginning of the session is fine. or just do some > extra positions? You can do these after the set and the relaxation or you can do these in the beginning as warm ups before the set. I find that I like to begin with spinal flexes, so if I am adding navel exercises I do this after my relaxation and then I relax again after the navel exercises. > Then do I do the sponge and meditate again? Each major workout requires a relaxation to integrate the effects. Consolidating with a meditation at the end is the standard procedure. But I find that most of the active meditations require time to integrate too, so I rest and then do a silent meditation to end. If I am really spaced out, I end with a few navel exercises to activte me again to start my day. I hope this helps. The main point is to take time to integrate what you have done before moving on.
