Guest guest
> > Can someone tell me which are the sadly effects > about drinking coffe ? > What does it happend in the body and the mind ? > Can Meditation be affected by this drinking ? Coffee is a diuretic ( which makes the body to lose more water and urinate ). This dries up the body. Eyes have nearly 95% water, brain is made up of nearly 80% water, heart and lungs have nearly 70% water ( and other vital organs too ), and bones have nearly 60% water. So, loss of water from the body means all the organs in the body are going to perform less efficiently. So drinking lots of water everyday ( and if you are a coffee drinker -- before and after taking a cup of coffee ) helps to replenish the loss of water and negate the bad effects of taking coffee. Water and fruits like watermelon ( which contains lots of water ) are also diuretics, but they are good diuretics ( Lost water is replaced by fresh water in these cases) Also, coffee intake does not help in calcium absorption. There is an increase of calcium content in the urine with coffee intake. As a result, the bones become weaker and more brittle leading to osteoporosis. When the bone framework breaksdown, the body posture gets affected and the body also tends to feel very weak overall ( as all the vital organs are supported well only by a good skeletal structure ) Additionally, coffee has nasal dilatory properties. After drinking a cup of coffee, the nostrils dilate a bit, making breathing more easy and relaxing ( I have come across a research article where coffee is found to have beneficial effects for asthma patients ). Hence, the 'good' relaxing feeling after drinking a cup of coffee. However, the nasal dilatory feature is only temporary. After a while, the nostrils begin to contract, and contract more than the original size before drinking the cup of coffee. This makes the breathing more difficult and the body has less supply of energy, and therefore one tends to get tense. Now, to relax yourself, one is desperate to grab another cup of coffee as this will force the nostrils to be dilated once again. This leads to an addictive effect. In fact, most of the addictives, like drugs and such, work fundamentally in this manner. Through proper deep breathing sessions, one can control and gradually eliminate addiction to any such substance. > > Is it Classic Black Tea an good alternative in this > case ? > Tea is also a diuretic. However, tea is widely considered to be more healthy than coffee as it has some antioxidants and flavanoids ( which are good for health ). gayathri > > Thanks in advance > > Blessing and light be with you always > > Marcos Vera > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > > Sign up for SBC Dial - First Month Free http://sbc.
