Guest guest
What is this meditation for? It seems like a "celestial meditation." I really like it because this chant was very hard for me to learn. This would have helped. Udare: When the fingers only touch, are the fingers together? Nirname "prayer position" seem to be different from the prayer position where the fingers only touch (Udare prayer postion). The backs of the hands are facing each other? Akame: Prayer postion the palms are together? You described the sequence: Gobinde: Hold arms out to sides, forearms parallel with floor, elbows bent 90* upwards, hands in fists with wrists foreward. Mukunde: Straighten and extend arms upward along side ears, open hands and face palms inward towards each other. Udare: Bring hands together overhead in a prayer-like position but with just the finger tips touching (Hakini Mudra). Apare: Still holding the mudra, bring the hands down in front of the heart. Hariang: Roll the fingers away from you and upwards, bringing the backs of the fingers and hands together in the motion... into... Kariung: ...ending the "roll" with the palms facing up, pinky sides pressed together like a mudra of offering, extending the arms out away from your heart. (this is hard to describe!) Nirname: Arms still extended, fold the palms together in prayer with fingertips facing out. Akame: Bring prayer hands back to your heart!
