Guest guest
Sat nam Brad, Earlier I use to meditate walking talking sleeping...I mean,I recited "Om Namo Shivai" mantra while doing other day to day activities but I never really sat down to meditate because I could better focus while in action.Earlier I only did "alternate nostril breathing".....but now since last few weeks,I have started regularly pranayam (consisting of different sets...although its a different story that I did not do it today...- .It has stilled my mind and now I can meditate while sitting..I can really focus.I am not looking for any spiritual powers..its just that these days meditation makes me feel very good. Previously I was "praying but not meditating"....and what I see is that meditation can give so much energy and happiness to a person that its endless....but I have not reached that stage yet..-:)anyway..here comes my question.. 1.When is the right time to meditate? 2.On waking up,what should be done first...meditation or Pranayama or yoga and in which order? 3.what is one breath per minute? Is it that a person can hold breath for one minute? Because I can´t do it but when I do alternate nostril breathing then I can hold my breath for 40seconds...is it the same or is it different? Thanks in advance. Jyoti
