Guest guest
Sat Nam, Yes I made a lot of progress by reading ! It's true that I started yoga with meditation class for just one week then after a long interruption I restared Hatha Yoga with videos and a teacher in a TV program but after a while I took the book "kundalini Yoga the Eternal Power" by Guruttan Kaur Khalsa and it was like many teachers trying to help me master the KY and directing my spiritual life and even my pattern of thoughts. Till now when I ask for help I feel great teachers helping me and making me progress and even counseling me on everything not only KY ! It's like having beautiful feminine angels protecting my way. So if you are keen enough and sincere you will be protected by the spiritual teachers chain. Of course it's very good that from time to time you join a group to check up where you are on the physical and maybe on the spiritual level in your progress. That's what I do I try to join seminars of 2 days to one week to correct my inconsistancies. But I am like you I cannot afford time and money to join 6 hours class every week. Guest guest
Sat Nam Lizette, "while I took the book "kundalini Yoga the Eternal Power" by Guruttan Kaur Khalsa" -- Is that the same Gururattan of this board and kundaliniyoga.org? In 'Kundalini Yoga the Eternal Power', was it more on yoga or meditation kriyas, or informational like 'The Mind'? Brad
Guest guest
Hi Brad Kundalini Yoga, the Flow of Eternal Power is by Shakti Parwha Kaur Khalsa, not Gururattan. I attended her class at Solstice Camp. It was great fun, even though our own dear Dharam Singh did his best to distract me by squirting me with a water pistol as he walked by where I was sitting! :-) Her book will be available soon from yogatech.com - I'll announce it on here when it is. Guest guest
I have a book called Kundalin Yoga the Flow of Eternal Power by Shakti Parwha Kuar Khalsa. I don't know if this is a same one than you were talking about or if it is different. It is a very informational and well rounded book offering info on morning and eve routines, chakras, ten bodies, food, kriyas, mantras, mediations Yogi Bhajan, sleep, the power of women and more. I found it very helpful in pursuit of knowledge regarding KY and it filled in many voids of the other books I have. I would definitely recommend as a good beginner book.
