Sat nam Matt, Welcome! Edward is a writer in my KY class who took it upon himself with our teacher Ingrid's help to put together an article consisting of interviews with people as to what brought them to ky, what keeps them coming, and how ky has affected their lives. (and ky has affected many of the poeple that Edward talked with very deeply and profoundly). It helps that our teacher works with us on very deep levels and has an amazing level of committment to her practice and to her students. Welcome to Point of Light Online It is being published in the upcoming issue of Point of Light magazine - the link is above- but the article won't appear till the next issue comes out (probably in August- the fall issue). I hope that you can find a good teacher because there is a depth of experience available and guidance that is very valuable. And also community. It can be like another dear family. This list is another incredible resource. I totally agree with Zizette, The focus, pacing and many of the modalities of hatha and ky feel quite differnet to me. It took a lot of adjusting for me, and I went thru a lot of resistance (in the beginning hatha felt "right" and for example the fast pace of repititions say, of camel ride, felt "wrong".) But it feels so good now in my body. The mantras and mudras and the locks which are so integral in ky were kind of peripheral in Hatha, in my experience. And mainly, using sets or kriyas for specific purposes, such as opening to abundance in our life, or getting rid of anger and toxins and opening the heart more - this focus of ky, bringing all of yourself, your voice too, to specific issues is different and to me, so valuable. Its great that you are willing to explore what the scientific mind might not find to be credible, to see for yourself and invite yourself to experience whats there for you. Enjoy the ride, Sheri
