Guest guest
Sat Nam Sheri, Matt, I'd just like to add to Sheri's comment, because I do other yoga as well, including Hatha: "The focus, pacing and many of the modalities of hatha and ky feel quite differnet to me. It took a lot of adjusting for me, and I went thru a lot of resistance (in the beginning hatha felt "right" and for example the fast pace of repititions say, of camel ride, felt "wrong".) - When I began Hatha I'd compare it to KY and it was 'different', I didn't get that uplifting 'exhilerating' energy like I did from Kundalini. Then I learned to just let the Hatha be what it is and I learned to enjoy it, in fact breathing into and holding asanas was a welcome addition to the hours of pranayam meditation I did. So where am I with it now, I still do some Hatha for Sadhana sometimes. I got many of the same feelings as Sheri, only in reverse, the Hatha was too slow, 'need to to do some BOF!' But if you can 'disengage' the 'professor' while you try KY and don't compare the 2 WHILE PRACTICING, then you'll feel it in its pure form, you might even learn to enjoy it. BTW I get same energy from Hatha its just not as intense and its much slower. Blessings Brad
