Meditation and mudra question

Sat Nam everyone-

I am in the middle of a 40 day med each of Sa Ta Na Ma Ra Ma Da Sa

(which I believe is called Ganputi mantra) and Ra Ma Da Sa. What I

normally do in my practice is select a kriya (like spinal set, nabhi,

etc) and do it comletely. Then do the meditations that I'm working on

at the time afterwards.

As I posted earlier, I have also recently begun doing the exercise

set for the kidneys (and I'm feeling some very interesting effects

with it). The past two days I've been able to do the kunchan mudra

(meditation at the end of the kidney set) for the full 10 minutes

(YEAH). The first day I did this, my right wrist really bothered me,

so when I did my 40 day meds, instead of doing them like I normally

do (easy pose with the appropriate mudras) I laid in corpse pose for

both, but continued to chant to them, along with the CDs of each. My

wrist was bothering me too much to maintain the mudras in those meds.

I just wanted to make sure that doing the meds in corpse pose

still 'counted' during the 40 days. I'm assuming it does, but wanted

to double check.

Also, I had what I think was my first grounding sensation last night

after finishing the kidney set. As I mentioned, I was laying in

corpse pose after the yoga to meditate. Soon after I started the

first med, I noticed that I felt like I was stuck to the floor. My

legs felt SO heavy when I tried to move them even slightly. It was

almost like a big magnet was pulling my body towards the ground. It

continued through both meds. But by the end of the second med, the

back of my head was beginning to feel a bit sore, because it felt

like I had been pushing it into the ground for 20 minutes straight.

When I finished the second med and went to get up. It took a LOT of

effort to actually move my body. Once I got my limbs a couple of

inches off the ground, the 'connection' broke and then I could move

them like normal. During the meds, I had assumed that my legs were

just really tired from the yoga, which sometimes causes similar

effects. But that wouldn't have affected my head or arms. And when I

stood up my legs weren't tired at all, they felt fine.

I also noticed after the meds and even this morning, that my wrist

doesn't bother me. The night before it was sore most of the night.

But it seems to be getting better. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to

do the full 10 minutes on Kunchan and the appropriate mudras for the

other 2 meds.
