Guest guest
I've been on the computer only 1 hour to read messages and have noticed a definite decrease in energy, particularly in my head and eyes, a heavy feeling. I did just get back from the KY festival so am feeling quite sensitive to energy changes right now. Does anyone know how the computer screen impacts our subtle energy system and how we can protect ourselves against it? Guest guest
Sat Nam Krishan, I used to sit in front of one all day long. I understand putting plants around your monitor help absorb the low-level radiation. Get a darkened shade (computer sunglasses) to put over your monitor. Frequently turn away, sit back from it don't keep putting your face near the monitor. Drink, Yogi Tea Computer De-Stress Tea (has eyebright in it). I don't remember any specific kriyas, or yoga specifically for this. My remedy, other than most of the above, was to do yoga after work as much as possible, and at least a short sadhana before work. I think there is a catch-22, in that the more KY you do over the years the more sensitive you are to physical sensations, and so sitting in front of a PC for very long is a problem. If anyone has any specfic kriyas/yoga or meditation for this, I'd be interested! Guest guest
Good question!!!There is a yogi tea for computer fatigue, though I haven't tried it yet and would love to hear from people that have. Yogi Bhajan once said to put black salt in your masala and eat that, but I couldn't find that anywhere. Some people say to wear, or put beside your computer, as much amethyst as you can. Sure there are strategies to use: 1) every half an hour leave the screen and go for a walk. 2) Never approach the back of the screen for it's a dangerous source of X-ray and other harmful radiations read the instructions. 3) Have a proper chair and pay attention to your posture. In every computer you purchase there is a leaflet for proper use of PCs 4) also pay attention to electrical shock you may have by touching the back of the CPU case and the screen shield it yu have it. It could electrocute you if no proper earth is installed. 5) Pay attention to the lights on the screen for your eyes. Adjust it not to have a lot of glare. Guest guest
Mark, my partner drank the yogi tea for computers a few years ago, his eyes were bothering him -he's a programmer and spends hours in front of the computer, not to mention gaming... he really liked the tea and said it worked great for his eyes and headaches. cris >Good question!!!There is a yogi tea for computer fatigue, though I >haven't tried it yet and would love to hear from people that have. Guest guest
I agree Seva, this is a great question. I personally telecommute and have been doing so for 9 years. Thus, I spend a solid 8-9 hours every weekday in front of my computer. It never really bothered me before. But I've noticed since starting KY, that my eyes appear to be more sensitive. I haven't noticed any decrease in energy like Krishan has, but my eyes will begin 'burning'. And after working all day, even trying to read a book in the evenings will create the burning sensation. Although, on the weekends, when I'm not in front of the computer, I've noticed that I can read without any irration to my eyes at all. So I'm assuming it's some kind of strain they incur during the work day. What I've found that helps me is that I'll cup the palms of my hands over my eyes for a few minutes, blocking all light from entering. I'll keep my eyes open in the darkness of my palms, not really looking at anything but casually moving them around. This has a soothing feeling on my eyes and helps to reduce the burning feeling. But it doesn't last long. Usually within a few hours, they'll start burning again. If anyone has any other tips that help, I would love to hear them. Guest guest
This mail is old, and I'm sorry I skipped it, but: To alleviate computer, and all sorts of Electro-magnetic garbage influences, apply two small, powerful magnets over the hairline on the back of the neck, negative (or true north, or south seeking, or the one that pulls the north needle of the compass) to the skin. Only when awake! This should go a long way towards healing of Electro-magnetic damage to the body.
