Guest guest
Hi to All My mail is prompted by the post from Elle. If mail is returned by your ISP for any reason - that is, it bounces - this is logged by the computers. If more than a trigger number of bounces is recorded over a given period then you are placed on bounce status - that means you will not receive any mail from any list on . What can you do about it? First of all you need to contact your ISP to find out why your mail is being returned. Could be due to any number of reasons. For those of you using free mail accounts it is normally because the mailbox is full or over-quota - in Elle's case it was filled with Spam. (Hotmail and Mail now offer options with Spam filtering which helps your mail to stay well within quota - just remember to go in and delete all the mail in your junk mailbox periodically.) Then you can go to www./mygroups and ask them to send out a probe to check on your account status. If the probe does not bounce, then you will automatically be returned to full membership of all your lists. If you do nothing, then will automatically probe your account at decreasing intervals, and eventually your account will be deleted from their system unless the problem that affected your mail clears by itself. Currently we have over 300 rs at various stages of this process. Your other option is to close your account and open a new one (as Elle has done) and then re from your new address. I hope this clarifies the situation. Sat Nam!
