Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone, Attachment to the bliss or the silence or to one mantra or another will retard your progress because of the resistance it creates. You should do just to do so that you can be just to be. Remember that this is a technology to take you to you. When you are you then there will be no problem. Have a good one. Sincerely yours Hari Sant Singh Kindness has no defeat. Caring has no end. And touching people's hearts is the only language God knows. ___________ SikhNet - http://www.SikhNet.com ___________ Get news on Sikhism and the Sikhnet web site Sign up at http://www.SikhNet.com/ ___________ Promote your group and strengthen ties to your members with email by Everyone.net http://www.everyone.net/?btn=tag
Guest guest
hey there, You made me laugh about us throwing stones at you.Voodoo yes but no stones( : Its a choice you make. Techniques are there to use or not use. You have to be happy to some extent in your spiritual practice!! Most of my students don't like music played during the yoga, some don't like it even during the relaxation. Kundalini yoga exposes you to all the aspects of the yogic lifestyles and this includes chanting. Chanting in the sound current is the most powerful thing you can do to shift your consciousness quickly...but try to do it from the heart. When you use a mantra during your exercises you are also using the brain in capacity that allows you to access the mind. We have been told that we only use 10% of our brain and our intelligence. It is simply a way also.. to use and strenghten the whole human during a session so that we are trained to use all of our potential power at all time in our practice and therefore throughout the day. One level at a time, one ambition at a time( : Satnam ji sir khalsa
Guest guest
Sat Nam, In kundalini yoga the purpose of chanting is pratyahara and merger. As you withdraw the senses you begin to encounter the subconscious directly and begin cutting through (letting go of) the negative and positive thoughts until the mind begins to enter a more neutral phase. At that point the mind becomes more transparent and you begin to transcend the mind with your awareness and fill your consciousness with the consciousness nature of the mantra you are chanting. It is quite easy to hear the inner thunder of the shabd at the astral level because it is just energy, just as it is easy to still your thoughts for a while and just be aware. But the raj yoga practice of kundalini yoga goes way beyond that into a realm of transcendent consciousness inaccessible by other means. It brings you an awareness of the eternal truth, the realm of sat nam, thus opening up a dimension of awareness that is nothing short of miraculous. Most people don't even realise this dimension exists and therefore never break through the barrier of what is already known to their mind, and enter into an intercourse with the unknown. Release the mind and merge totally with the sound and you will see for yourself. Don't forget though, your ego doesn't want you to go there.
