Guest guest
Good morning ji, Wow congratulations!! You have everything to look forward to. You can make mountains move with prayer. A mother's prayer is the most powerful prayer on the planet.God listens. You are the mother and your baby is so blessed. Falling back on your Christian past is great. Jesus never left you. He is available at all times to help you. So are all the great masters. It is not a betray to your present religion to connect to something that believes in God.Open yourself up to what your intuition is telling you. I am a sikh and there are a lot of prayers for children and mothers if you are interested .I still ask Jesus to protect my children when he comes in my mind. Prayer should come from the heart and prayering in the ambrosial hours is even more powerful because it is the time of the Heart chakra. Devotion comes in so powerful when you have a child and prayer will only strenghten this for you and your family. When you pray ,you and God become one. Everything will be fine. You are in a frequency of higher consciousness and you can use so much techniques to change your destiny and that of your child. Babies are the best. You will just love him so much.Send him love and prayers, talk to him, smile with him and most of all tell him that God loves him so much and that if he needs healing to accept it and grow and that it is his birth right to be healthy happy and holy. I will pray for you and your family.Write me back if you need the sikh prayers. Sir khalsa
Guest guest
Sat Nam everyone (By the way - what does Sat Nam Ji mean?) Please help! I am wondering if one "prays" in KY. I guess I am looking for some chants/prayer to do in times of trouble and despair. It is times like these when I wish I could bring bak some of my Christian upbringing. IF nothing else, Christianity has some beautiful prayers and calls for help. I have been aBUddhist for quite some time now though, and don't really remember any. I had an ultrasound Thursday, and besides finding out that the baby is a boy, which we are very happy about, we also found out that his rate of growth is off in a way that makes the doctors suspect Down's. I have had a preliminary blood test and will have an amnio in two weeks. I am desperate need of some spiritual succor. I wish I were more like my husband in times like these - he is definately not "into" ANY of the spirituality I am, but at times he has great wisdom anyway. He said "Our baby is fine. Our baby is perfect. He is perfect because he is OUR baby." So I have repeating that to myself over and over as a type of prayer, but was really wondering what KY says to do in times like these. My spirituality has always been my strength during rough times, but I have never experienced anything like this - so any ideas would be appreciated! Adam (baby boy) and I thank you!! I like the answer, which Sir Khalsa gave to you and I'm interested, to read some of the sikh prayers too. If you are looking for prayers you can just take the most famous ones from Christianity, the have a lot of power, because so many people around the world often use them: THE LORD'PRAYER and HAIL MARY will bring grace, new life and flow into your life, you can read more about prayers and psalms in Gurunams new book: Splendor of the Sun. If you want to mix the best of Christian tradition with Kundalini Yoga you will like all his books and all prayers, he is suggesting. Go on his website: www.rootlight.com, - there you will find some informations about the Healing Circle, you can ask for help there. People pray everyday to help anybody, who is asking for help. Then look on www.rootlight.com/helppray.html and www.rootlight.com/prayerforall.html This Prayer for all is so powerful, you can use it in the way you will find on this site and you can make it much more powerful - yes, this is possible :-) if you say the whole prayer with Christ after doing the other parts. This prayer will be so helpful for you and your (((((perfect!!! :-) baby))))) - another good idea: Lumen de Lumine - a lovely prayer on a CD from Gurunam, your baby will like it, tell us, what he is saying and doing, when you are listening or chanting with this heavenly music. .... he has great wisdom anyway. ###... YES!!! This is true, your husband gave you one of the best prayers, you could pray : >"Our baby is fine. Our baby is perfect. He is perfect because he is >OUR baby." So I have repeating that to myself over and over as a type >of prayer... Sending you a lot of love, peace and light Sonja
Guest guest
Hi Sonja Gurunam is well known to us on here. He wrote a very powerful and moving lesson which we incorporated into the online training lesson #22 - Devotion, Ritual and Prayer. This came out only a few weeks after the tragic events of 9/11 kundalini yogakyt22.html A selection of his most popular books and CDs is available from our sponsors Website - www.yogatech.com - all the CDs are on special offer this month - at least $1 off in addition to the normal discounts. Please make Yoga Technology your first stop when looking for books, CDs, videos or DVDs. It is thanks to their sponsorship that we have the Kundaliniyoga List, www.kundaliniyoga.org and the free online training lessons, to name but three resources which immediately spring to mind. Guest guest
Sat Nam Amy- Many others have posted a lot of great responses to this. I just wanted to comment on two things. 1) You're husband's attitude is a great one to have. 2) You shouldn't feel that doing a 'christian' prayer was contradictory to budhism. The focus of all religions is to worship the One God (or whatever you want to call him). I personally feel that each religion is based on the teachings of one (or a few) enlightened individuals. While the teachings and the words may have been altered over the hundreds/thousands of years due to men interpretating and translating them. The underlying concept of all of them is unconditional love. So, in my mind, they are all complimentary to one another. Also, I had met some people many years ago who had 3 children, one of them had Downs. The one comment they made to me has stuck in my mind. They said that, of all of their children, the child with Downs was able to show and feel so much more love than the others. They were usually overwhelmed by it. I thought it was interesting that pure unconditional love came from their 'imperfect' child. But isn't that exactly the level that we all are trying to reach? In which case, having a child with Downs sounds like a blessing. You may be able to learn more from him. Stuff that you can't learn from books. Just a thought.
