Guest guest
SAT NAM, Is it possible for stomach to get larger with KY pratice? What I am noticing is that my stomach has bulged out more although my weight has gone down and if the pants are slightly tighter , I find that breathing gets hampered also? Guest guest
Satnam Akkama, I am interested in your experiences because it sounds like you are really having some trouble.I don't see how your stomach can get bigger with ky even though you have not gained weight. If a student came to me with these problems I would suggest that they get a thorough physical examination. When ever things are not right in the physical realm you have to be practical and careful. The yoga sometimes help with showing us weakness in the body and maybe showing you that you need to check your system and get information and then move on from there. The medical profession can diagnose and the yoga can heal. No need to worry just take action sirkhalsa
Guest guest
I've heard of many accounts of the torso expanding because of pranayama practice. There are yogis in India who are very wide around the middle because of this. They can expand their bellies and diaphragms incredibly wide for very long extended Puraka Kumbhaka -- retention of the breath after inhale. Look at some pictures of yogis practicing this retention, really their bellies are huge although they are not fat. elle/ranjit >jaapsahib >Kundaliniyoga >Kundaliniyoga >Re: stomach muscles >Wed, 14 Aug 2002 00:21:25 EDT > >Satnam Akkama, >I am interested in your experiences because it sounds like you are really >having some trouble.I don't see how your stomach can get bigger with ky >even >though you have not gained weight. If a student came to me with these >problems >I would suggest that they get a thorough physical examination. When ever >things are not right in the physical realm you have to be practical and >careful. The yoga sometimes help with showing us weakness in the body and >maybe showing you that you need to check your system and get information >and >then move on from there. Guest guest
SAT NAM, Interesting information. Well, I have just began yoga for 5 months and I dont think I could be compared to real professional yogis or yoginis. Doctor once mentioned about fibriods which cause a feeling of bulgedness in lower abdomen and I think somwhere my breathing/pranayam is going wrong as I always end up straining lung muscles. For now, I kinda stopped holding/shunya stages of pranayama and avoid pranayama as much as possible until I feel I can get on again. Thanks Akkama HotJobs - Search Thousands of New Jobs http://www.hotjobs.com
