Guest guest
Dear Michelle, Since you have been around for a while I assume you are following the advise I repeat periodically which includes grounding, feeling sensations in your body, bring energy down instead of up, being present in your body, feeling how your emotions translate into sensations and being present to them nonverbally. This must be done everyday to integrate the upward moment of kundalini, to avoid headaches and too much energy in the upper chakras. It is our job to bring the energy down. Guest guest
Dear Gururattan and All, Whew! Since recently joining several Kundalini-related lists and reading many posts, I feel sincerely hesitant to add comments or observations simply because, number one, I'm new and number two, my experience with Kundalini energy has always been between myself and I... If I took your advice, Gururattan, I would literally vomit. The K energy I experience has to have free reign. Even ONE thought of stopping it, or a fearful thought or anything manipulative to not let it rise up and out, will make me sick. The bliss IS the energy! It seems I don't have a whole bucket-load of karma to throw out (or up, as the case may be). If I did, my symptoms may be different than what I'm experiencing. Here's are examples: After practicing breathing, kriyas and then meditating, the "light show" is incredible. The first time I tried putting turmeric in milk before I went to bed -- nope! No easy sleep for me! Another light and dream show. My point is this: I began KY in order to "help" the K energy up and out, definitely not to control it. I've further read and discussed on other K-Lists that trying to manipulate this energy WILL be deterimental to your ...peace of mind?... and I've experienced just that. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your advice or my yoga instructor here in Espanola isn't explaining things correctly. I do know I'm feeling what I feel correctly, however. Guest guest
....please how does one bring the energy down instead of up, and is this always the case or just at the end of practice? I am a little confused on this. thank you. Guest guest
I think the point IS to relax, let go and not get stuck in your head, which can include the light show (believe me I know all about that) or thinking too much or concentrating on the upper chakras and all that. Excessive dreaming or over stimulation or vomiting can be a sign of your nervous system having trouble taking the energy so deep relaxation and not over-amping your system would be really important for you. I once knew a guy who would have spontaneous out of body experiences just by thinking about it and it was made worse by doing kundalini yoga. Yogi Bhajan finally told him to just relax and stay in his body and stop projecting his mind somewhere everytime his upper chakras were activated. That's my take on what Gururattan is saying. You would be wise to read YB's lecture on the Blue Gap (it is in an old beads of truth), where he explains about the type of sensitivity we are all getting into now.......which is what you are describing is happening to you. Guest guest
Dear Hety, Linda and All, Sat Nam. > The K energy I experience has to have free reign. Even ONE thought of stopping it, or a fearful thought or anything manipulative to not let it rise up and out, will make me sick. You are right. The kundalini is not to be controlled or manipulated. In fact, it cannot be. The bliss IS the energy! Yes. I began KY in order to "help" the K energy up and out, definitely not to control it. Definitely. There is a difference between the ascent and the descent. You are talking about the ascent. My references were about the descent. I write about this in one lesson (forgot which one.) Actually the descent cannot be controlled either. This is why we learn to tune into what is, be present in the moment, accept, allow, love, let go, surrender to what is. Where you are in your process at the moment will depend on where you turn your attentiion. It is really an individual matter to gauge what is needed at the moment. If you are in the ascent, then you will certainly not be concentrating on the integration of energy into your body. However, if you are not meditating and trying to be in the world, you will want to feel your feet, be present to your legs, abdominal region and navel center. Simply being present to the sensations in your body will allow for the grounding to take place in a very natural way. In daily practice, I practice and teach to allow the integration during the relaxation after the exercises. This is also when the kundalini rises as well, so simply being aware and present allows what is happening to happen. I would be interested in other's experiences during different phases of their awakening. It is all very personal too. I personally was not specifically taught to be present in my body or the importance of the descent in being functional in the world. I just figured it out through being present to my life and experience. And from tips I got along the way. So this is something that we are exploring together. Guest guest
Lecture on Blue Gap was in one of the old Bead's of Truth magazine, which some of the 3ho people that have been around a while should have in their possession - if you know any. I will try to find the date of it and post it.
