Guest guest
Dear Amy, You wrote asking about prayers for your baby to be born. The beautiful thing about prayer is that God will hear whatever heartfelt prayer you make. You don't need a pre-formed prayer, although there are beautiful prayers in the Bible and other scriptures. A very good one for stilling your mind in times of worry or anxiety is "Be still and know that I AM God." This is easy to remember and you can chant it like a mantra. Or you can pray, God is good. Or use the beginning of Psalm 25: "To you I lift up my soul, O Lord, my God. In you I trust..." Or you can just ask God to give you peace and understanding and love. When my husband was very sick and hospitalized and in surgeries I would pray, "Please God, keep him safe." You can pray for your baby's safety just by asking. There is a wonderful book that I use that has prayers from all over the world, all cultures, all religions, all scriptures. There are many books like that that you can find. If you want some specific suggestions please contact me. I am an interfaith minister. Blessings, Rev.
