Guest guest
Hello, I am a recovering sexual addict, and have come across the beauty and realities of kundalini yoga. I understand that everyone has an aura, and woman have an additional one between their breasts. I have learned that all my sexual relationships are imprinted on this arc line being a woman. I wish to erase these imprints with the ancient kriya of Sodarshan Chakra Kriya, but I seem not to be able to find online instruction. Would someone be so kind to instruct me? I thank you so much for being part of my healing.
Guest guest
Sat Nam, What can we call you, Bonnie? Sodarshan is not online, when I get my site up I think I;m will have that one and Tershula, cause there good but no ones got them on line. Sodarshan is very simple: 1. Sit in easy pose, or in a chair with your feet flat on the floor (how I meditate) 2. Eyes either 1/10 open at the tip of your nose or closed rolled up to the third eye (they both effect third eye) 3. With your right thumb, block off your right nostril, and inhale deeply (the rest of your fingers on the right hand pointed up to ceiling) 4. Rythymically pump your navel and silently chant wa-he guru -this is trickiest part. pump on 'wa', again on 'he' and again on 'guru' (not gu and ru) so wahe guru should be three pumps 5. On one breath you'll pump 48 times, or 16 wahe guru's - some people have a hard time with the counting. one way to keep track of the pumps is to start with the index finger and flex it up and down three times with your navel, then the middle finger and so on. I don't have any problem counting the 'sets' of threes so I just focus on when I've completed one. 6. When you've reache 48 or 16 complete chants, block the left nostril with the right index finger and exhale, then go back to step 3 and repeat. Try starting with 6 mins or 11 minutes and work up. Oh yeah, welcome to the board! Blessings Brad

Guest guest
Dear friends: Brad's excellent description of Sodarshan Chakra Kriya left out one important word: "slowly" after the words inhale and exhale. Exhaling slowly after the 48 navel point pumps is typically the most challenging part of this meditation. To master this (if necessary), begin practicing with fewer than 16 Wahe Guru's/48 pumps (8 repetitions or 24 pumps is a common starting point) until you can do this with a controlled slow breath and build up to 16 over time. At first you may have to chant/pump rather fast, but over time as you get better breath control you'll be able to slow down, which, in my experience, will feel more comfortable (once the breath control becomes comfortable). BTW, there are several approaches to counting, and you might want to experiment to find one that works best for you. I like to do 4 repetitions for each of the four fingers (not counting the thumb) of the left hand, since for me counting the pumps is the "no problem" part, where keeping track of the Wahe Guru's is distracting. I understand Yogi Bhajan uses a variation of this where he goes through all five fingers of the left hand 3 times and then does one more repetition. Love & blessings, Sadhant Singh
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I'm wondering if you would mind saying something about where you think sexual addiction comes from, the kind of emotional dynamics driving it and what you had to do to find your way out. (either to this list or me privately) A relative of mine practically trashed herself and her whole life with a sexual addiction. The meditation sa-ta-na-ma was a saving grace. After a few months of doing the meditation, and also taking about how she felt, she reported that all the memories started to become distant and unreal. Her mind slowly stopped making associations. Sodarsan Chakra kriya is also a very good choice because it clears out the arc line where all the unconscious psychic connections go. The arc line is the interior aspect of the aura, the inward projection of the psyche. That is what you were talking about: ear to ear, breast to breast. Those two meditations will completely transform you..........as long as you also find somebody you intimately trust to talk to, no strongs attached, no unwanted outcomes. This is an essential part of the teachings. Seva Simran
