Jeffrey,

I too have been having that sound in my head, especially after mantras. To

me it sounds like what blood wound sound like pumping through the sides of

my neck kind of behind the ears. Maybe someone can tell us what it is? I

feel at peace when this is happening, sort of like after sex (can I say

that?). it's wonderful!!!

>From my undertanding, the chakras make different sounds as they open.

That could be what you are hearing. A few weeks ago someone (I

believe it was Hety) posted a list of the chakras and some sounds

that are commonly associated with them. You can do a search on the

archive for the post. That list may be of interest to you. I don't

know if the sounds are consistent, regardless of the individual, or

if they vary from individual to individual. Personally, I

heard 'crickets' for the first 2-3 weeks after starting ky. And that

list associates that sound to the 2nd chakra. I think the list

associated a hissing sound to the 1st chakra, but I'm not positive.

I still enjoy hearing new sounds and experiencing new sensations just

as you both are doing. But don't try to create them or focus on them.

Just be present to them. At some point, you won't be interested in

the sensations at all, but rather withdrawing from them. That is the

biggest step for me to take. And I'm no where near that level yet.

But hopefully, some day, I'll be able to accomplish that. So for

right now just enjoy the experience and keep up the practice.
