Guest guest
Here are some notes I took out of John Robbins Book "The Food Revolution". Same author as "Diet for a New America, "The Food Revolution" his new book, either would be good (yes I skipped the section on just how ghastly the food farm animals are treated in this book too, didn't feel like going through that again but it is another convincing reason to avoid animal food) It is a good book about the benefits of eating Vegan for health, for animals and for the world. I was able to order it through the Inter-Library loan program at my public library. I recommend it to any one contemplating going Vegan. I am almost vegan and I feel like I am getting close to really making the commitment. I like to eat corn tortillas with black beans, salsa & greens and tofu. I drink soy milk and other plant milks, almond or rice. Rice cakes and tahini is another favorite... and TONS of fruit! Devinderjit lots of fresh fruits & vegetables low in refined & processed foods and sugar no hydrogenated fats & trans-fats (found in many margarines & white flour pastries) low in saturated animal fats & vegetable oils such as safflower, corn, sunflower, and cottonseed oils. More water , baked potatoes & whole grains - less pop, french fries & refined flour products local & organic if possible no msg, artificial preservatives, colors, or other chemical additives For Vegans - Vitamin B-
