Guest guest
Sat Nam folks. I have a (hopefully) interesting topic to bring to the group. I was talking to my hatha yoga teacher earlier (explaining as I'm in the US I can't make tonight's class!) and she was telling me that she'd known of people who'd been into KY ending up in mental institutes. Basically, she was warning me that (a) there are lots of charlatans out there wanting to earn money and setting themselves up as teachers of various forms of yoga including KY and (b) raising K can be very dangerous. I recently read an article about one guy who was obsessive and sure enough, practised fanatically and had a rising and didn't know how to handle it, ending up in an institute. This is pretty alarming stuff and I thought I'd raise the topic for discussion. I have no intention of being a scaremonger but I'd be very interested to hear what others think. I certainly hope nobody on this circulation has experienced anything like that. >From my side, I think it's a salutary reminder that we should practise KY with a view to becoming better more loving people without necessarily anticipating anything.
