Guest guest
Satnam everyone, As September 11th approaches I would like to ask anyone who has the time to say a prayer for the Sikh families in America. After the attack Sikhs became a lot more visible in the USA because of the way we dress. We are easily mistaken for Arabs or Muslims or as "Bin laden 'look a like. The 3HO Sikhs are more at risk because we wear white and the men keep the turban and beard.Being an American Sikh woman in the South has been very nerve racking sometimes but the men have it a lot harder here.We all suffered so much after the bombing and would love to just have the peace of mind to pray and hope for peace and give hope to the families that survived the ordeal last year. However in certain parts of the country we are at risk every day of being persecuted for no reason at all other than the way we dress.I wish everyone a thankful and prayerful September 11th and may God keep this country and the world safe tommorrow and everyday thereafter Thanks s.i.r. khalsa
Guest guest
SchoolHouseYoga in Pittsburgh will be leading sadhana and yoga throughout the day. We will keep the Sikhs in my mind. I wear a turban, but I am not a Sikh by any ceremony. Uninformed people are everywhere.
