We have largely left it to our rs to use their discretion regarding what is and is not posted and discussed. What none of you see are our figures for subscription and unsubscription. They are the real indicator of the success or otherwise of our list moderation policies. This is a list to discuss Kundalini yoga - that definition in itself gives very wide scope for discussion. This is not a chat room. We have many teachers and others with great experience who to us and want to learn from our conversations. Some of them have been (quite rightly) starting to complain about excessive triviality and lack of serious content. We want everyone to enjoy this list, to gain something from our discussions, and to be assisted in their spiritual development. We want to maintain our friendly posting environment. There is nothing wrong with occasionally bringing a little humor and levity to bear, to now and again stray into other fields and topics, but this concept is far removed from some of the present "threads of irrelevance". In future, list moderation will be done on a much more pro-active basis. Folk who post off-topic will hear from the duty moderator. If they continue to do so, then they will be placed on moderated status, and then all their mail to the list will be vetted. Persistent offenders will be subject to additional measures. I apologize to the vast majority of you for having to post in these terms. It is in the best interests of the vast majority that this list has to be run, and will be so run in future. (If anyone has any issues to raise about this message, then please do so directly with me, OFF list.) Sat Nam!
