Guest guest
Sat Nam Gretchen, Group I kicked the habit without, yoga so it was kind of a non-issue with me. But I still like getting high :-), thats where the Kundalini comes in. I had the addiction of being human too, and I was tired of living in my head (though I didn't know it at the time). We manifest that by looking outward for our happiness, and thats kind of where I was at. If I had been given the opportunity to do K-Yoga 25 years ago, it would have saved me alot of grief, now there's a story! Now come on group don't be shy, tell us your storys using Kundalini to break addictions. It may be your story that helps someone else! Guest guest
Hi Brad, I'm hoping the day will come when Kundalini is all the high I do desire. I can also smoke cigs like a chimney, then there is the Dr. Peppers I've been readdicted to again these past 4-5 months:( I don't know if KY is going to help me or not. I'm hoping so because I really do want a change in my life. I want to let this stuff go and not let it rule my life any longer. I just don't understand why I'm afraid to do just that and the addictions linger. I would imagine if I breathed more I'd eventually smoke less. But I have been known to have a wonderful breathing time and when the session is all over "lite one up". This behavior baffles and confuses me and it's a part of myself I'm not real happy with. Guest guest
Hi Jena, I teacjnutrition and one of the things I talk about as reards to soda addiction I call living n the hot tub zone. think about going to a resort that has both a pool and a hot tub. If you go in the pool first and it feels very comfortable and then go in the hot tub - the hot tub will feel hot. After a while the hot tub will begin to feel nice. If you then try to go back in the pool the pool feels cold and uncomfortable. Think of soda as the hot tub - the average 20 ounce can contaains 17 teapoons of sugar (also caffeine). If you are constantly drinking soda- foods and drinks with less sweetness just do not taste right. Theonly way to break this addiction is to either quit cold turkey and get used to the pool again or to gradually shift to drinks and foods with less sugar. One way to do this is to drink a mixture of fruit juice and selzer gradually decreasing the % of juice and increasing seltzer. Also helpful is the herb stevia which is 300x sweeter than sugar and can be used to make lemonade (Beware of nutraweet- it is not safe - it still causes an insulin rush and will keep you in the hot tub zone.
