Guest guest
About a year 1/2 had passed since I'd last seen my favorite KY Teacher. Recently, I ran into him and was looking very much forward to getting re-started now that he was back in the area. As luck would have it, the next day, I had a violent fall at work and bruised my tail bone/coccyx. A few weeks have passed and my discomfort is mild/none. So, I plan on going to a class and only doing what I feel comfortable with. Question: Does anyone know what sort of energetic ramifications an injury to the base of the spine has when working with Kundalini?
Guest guest
In a (loosely) related note, I have been doing kriyas lately that have involved various forms of "sit-ups" -- and in doing so I find that I rub a "rasberry" on my buttocks where my tailbone is. It remains sore/painful for at least a week afterwards--making it difficult to sit, or do any asana that puts much pressure in that region. I have tried padding the region while doing the asana, but since it's a "rub" versus a "bruise", padding doesn't really help. Does anyone have any suggestions? >> Wed, 25 Sep 2002 12:49:36 -0400 Heather <star71 battered tail-bone : ( About a year 1/2 had passed since I'd last seen my favorite KY Teacher. Does anyone have any> suggestions? 1. Don't do the exercises. 2. I tried placing my hands under my buttocks and that raised my tail bone off the floor a bit so it didn't rub so much. Maybe padding under the two buttocks and not under the tailbone. 3. There are plenty of exercises and kriyas. maybe it is time to switch.
