Guest guest
Sat Nam - this is a report showing our mantra as an option in the Pentagon meditation / prayer room. Let's face it - before the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) came to the West this was no where near a possibility for this to be included in such a booklet. Sometimes we have no idea how far our influence runs. Here is the report PEACE MEDITATIONS AT THE PENTAGON AND THE SPIRITUAL DEFENSE INITIATIVE (SDI) The Pentagon Center for Ministry in Room 3A1054 has a meditation room open during normal duty hours for personal prayer or contemplation. Every Friday afternoon at 3 PM there is a Pentagon Peace Meditation organized by Pentagon workers. Here are verbatim excerpts from a booklet published by the Pentagon Meditation Club: THE PROCESS Step 1 - Repeat the following words mentally, pausing after each sentence, while closing your eyes: "I direct my thoughts to the world of my inner being . I forgive myself for all my perceived wrong-doing to myself and to others . I ask for grace to experience my true nature, the God within me, love . I am a being of love . I am light . Deep within myself I am peaceful . Now, I experience the silence within me as I use the Holy Word, God's name to quiet my mind and free me ." Step 2 - With eyes closed, mentally repeat for a period of time that seems right to you, your favorite name of God (or Creator, Source, the Universe, etc.). You might select from: JESUS, or ADONAI (YHWH), or JEHOVAH, or ALLAH, or RAM, or BRAHMAN, or SATNAAM, or RADHA-KRISNA, or BAHA'U'LLAH, or AUM (OM) or GREAT SPIRIT, or any other name you have for God.
