Guest guest
Dear group, I respectfully disagree. Plain water is also not the correct salinity to match the body fluids. Flushing with too high a salinity is damaging to the membranes involved. This is damaging long before you are able to feel any burning. The burning tells you "whoa, something is WAY wrong here." Rinsing with plain water will not correct the problem. In fact, it will make matters worse. First you have damaged the tissues with too much salt, now you will flush them with plain water that has no saline consistency and will do much further damage. You might as well hang a sign on the nose that says, "infection welcome here." Flushing with only plain water is also not natural and damaging. I repeat, it is important for the fluids to match the salinity of the body and they should ideally be sterile as well. This is why in the laboratories, blood cells are suspended in a saline solution that is of a perfect percentage to match body fluid. The blood cells and tissues keep very well this way. It is worth your health to check into this, make a trip to the drugstore and purchase sterile saline for this procedure. I used the saline flush many, many times. A mild, saline solution that matches body salinity worked perfectly. No pain, no damage, very slight salt taste and wonderfully clear cavities. But, I'm glad to say that since eliminating mucous producing foods from my diet, I no longer need to perform this procedure. Now I just breathe deeply and fully to start the day :-) Stay well, Heidi www.candlebeefarm.com ---------- Introducing NetZero Long Distance Unlimited Long Distance only $29.95/ month! Guest guest
The mucus has slight alkalinity. Salt-water, BTW, is an alkaline solution. This alkalinity is required for killing germs. So, when you do the plain-water jal-neti ( not for long, though), it does bring down the alkalinity, but the protective mucus coating is restored quite soon ( provided we have adequate nutritional diet with optimal salt intake ). If you are living in a polluted area and want to get out of home quite soon after performing the jal-neti, just do the salt-water jal-neti again to restore the alkalinity in the nasal passages immediately. Or, just do one long run of salt-water jal-neti, to keep it simple. gayathri Faith Hill - Exclusive Performances, Videos & More http://faith.
