Guest guest
Sat Nam everyone! Well, this past Thursday was day 90 of my Ganputi Mantra meditation. YEAHH!!!! I did a 90 day med!! Boy did that seem SOOO out of reach in the beginning. And beleive it or not, I'm already starting my next 40 day med, which will be the Smiling Buddha meditation. I'm thinking about doing that one in the morning, and possibly one in the evening. I'm thinking about the one that Brad mentioned he's working on (its in the Transitions to a Heart Centered World book), but I forget the name. I found his progress interesting. But I think I'll stick with SMiling Buddha for the first week or two, then see if I want to add a second one. Also, I've seen a WHOLE bunch of posts on sinuses and breathing. I've never tried the JelNati (or however it's spelled). I never any problems with sinuses. And always felt my nasal passages were pretty open. But what I noticed immediately was the effect after doing one of the breathing exercises Pieter posted. This was the one where you close one nostril with a thumb, hold the other arm straight up in the air, hand open, fingers together, palm facing in. Inhale and exhale slowly about 15-20 times. Then block the other nostril and repeat with the opposite nostril and opposite arm. This is REALLY a vague description of it. If anyone is interested, I'll find the post number and post it again for you. But after I finished that exercise, my nasal passages felt completely open, like never before. And although I had done that as a pre-curser to KY. The openness continued all day. In fact, my nasal passages haven't gone back to the old feeling of 'normal' since. And it wasn't until I did this exercise, that I realized that my nasal passages were NEVER fully open. It's one of those things that you don't realize until you experience it. But you may want to try this too if the saline solutions don't work. Just a thought. Christa
