Guest guest
Sat Nam ya'll, I do have two things I'd like to ask about 1) are there any special mantras, meditations, etc that are particularly supportive of the liver? I take alot of medications and my liver is always working overtime. 2) Are there any meditations, etc. out there for pain control? I have a healed wound on my sacrum and sometimes my yoga sets, or meditations for that matter, really make it sore. I'd rather not have to take painkillers for a number of reasons. In fact, anyone know something for healing the First Chakra? Thanks, Leo
Guest guest
Hi Leo, After living with at least one BIG serving of Kicheri (Mung Beans, Rice and vegetables) everyday for the last year and a half I can say that my liver is much happier. My acupuncturist has been monitoring me and there are differences (too many to mention). Diet is about as intensive a way support your liver. Food as medicine! Additionally, liver and hemorrhoids (first chakra) are integrally tied. You didn't say that you had them...I am just throwing this thought in there. Yogiji says that one never gets rid of hemmorhoids but you can eleviate them by working with the liver. Guest guest
Hi Christa, Yes, I believe they are the same. They have almost the same result. reiki works on the individual chakras as well, in fact there is a portion of Reiki that is called a Chakra Balance, which basically tries to clear up the chakras and balance them together. Healing work goes on too, just like KY. I believe that the channels are the same, and the energy is the same - prana, chi, etc, i am still learning myself but to me they are the same. I would say that only perhaps how that energy is delivered is different. But its from the same source and is the same energy. No problem, please feel free to ask any other questions, I knew absolutely nothing about it when I first heard about it when my aunt from Australia visited me. There is a lot of material on Reiki on the Internet, and if you want to pick up a book to learn even more, I would recommend getting a book written by Diane Stein, called Essential Reiki. This was the first book I read and I learnt a lot from it.She has a website too ; www.dianestein.com Another source would be to go to www.about.com and type in Reiki as a subject. You can get some good info on what Reiki really is and what it does from there. Satnam, Sharm ________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
