Grace of God Meditation and synchronicity

Hello, All,

Over the past 2-3 weeks I've experienced a particular meditation coming my

way from different sources. Here's an example:

I'd been meditating with First Shakti Mantra (from Divine Mother Meditation

in Transitions to a Heart Centered World) for several weeks and seemed to be

having a hard time getting into it. I meditated with the mantra regularly

and felt like something wasn't connecting. One night I attended a class,

and during the rest period the teacher began singing to us. I quickly

realized she was singing the First Shakti Mantra. It went right to my

heart. She taught it to the class and we sang it as the closing meditation.

The melodic version of this mantra was a revelation to me. I didn't want to

stop singing it, either out loud or in my mind. Sometimes it was there when

I woke up in the morning.

I realize it could be a coincidence that the teacher taught this form of the

mantra at just the time I needed it, but I can't help feeling there's more

to it than random coincidence. I like to think of it as synchroniciy, what

Carl Jung described as "meaningful coincidence".

My latest example of this involves the Grace of God meditation. After class

one evening a few weeks ago I was talking with the teacher and she asked if

I'd ever done Grace of God meditation. I told her I wasn't familiar with

it, and she emailed instructions to me a few days later. I began doing the

meditation several times a week.

Last weekend, Gururattan published the preliminary version of NMB #52. I

saw it Monday a.m., but didn't have time to read it fully since I had to get

to work. However, as I scrolled through it, I saw the meditation -- Grace

of God!

I take note when a meditation twice arrives in my Inbox in two weeks. Has

anyone else noticed this type of synchronicity?

(PS... I've found that First Shakti Mantra and Grace of God seem to go

together. For me, they both have heart-opening effects that lead me to feel

less critical of other people and more accepting.)

Sat Nam Cris-

I read your email and was smiling the whole way through! I actually

began studying ky as a result of syncronicity. I had been basically

searching for something, not quite sure what, regarding spirituality.

I was just very thirsty and wasn't feeling satisfied with attending

church. In fact, I usually left church feeling worse. But I felt that

way not because of what attending church did, but rather what it

didn't do. I had gone expecting to feel something or get something

out of it that I didn't get. So the 'worse' feeling was from my

disappointment.

Anyways, I was doing some reading on various spiritual texts and came

across an excerpt that Edgar Cayce had written regarding Jesus. And

as I read it, it made so much sense to me. I could 'feel' what he had

written. And there was a reference to kundalini and chakras but it

wasn't explained further. I was completely surprised because I

recognised his name from grocery store tabloids, but had never read

anything about him (due to my prejudice against the tabloids). So I

immediately went to look for more info on Cayce. On his website he

had another article on kundalini and chakras and what they were. He

also highly recommended kundalini yoga. At this point, I was still

in 'research' mode and wasn't totally committed to following through

with the kundalini or kundalini yoga. And up to this piont, I had

never heard the word chakra or kundalini before in my life. About a

week later I was watching an episode of CSI (a US tv show) and it

involved buddhist monks and the one scene had several comments

regarding chakras. As the word chakras was being said on tv, I just

sat their with my mouth wide open. The next day I went looking for

some videos/books on kundalini yoga and started my practice. And I

found the kundaliniyoga.org website (and this board) a few weeks

after that.

So, long answer to your question, 'yes, I have experienced

syncronicity'. If something happens once, I chalk it up to

coincidence. If it happens twice, I begin to consider it. If it

happens 3 times, I get up off my bottom and move!

  • 4 weeks later...

I must have somehow missed #52 of the New Millenium Being which someone said

has the Grace of God Meditation. Can someone forward it to me. On the NMB

site it only has through #46

Thanks

Julia
