Guest guest
Hello everyone, Well, I'm back from the Master's Touch, which was quite an experience ! Challenging - not the yoga but the weather, which was very cold in the mornings ( I'm from hot and humid Lousiana and the change was a shock ) Anyway, I wanted to share the answers I got to the question about neck rolls and substituting in sets. If a person has neck problems they shouldn't do neck rolls unless cleared by their healthcare provider. Nothing is to be substituted in a set. However, in a classroom setting a teacher with neck problems can talk the class thourgh the neck rolls, and can also use a student as a demo model. Anyone not able to do a posture can sit that one out , and still get benifits by being in the group's energy. While practicing alone however, if one of the exercises is contra indicated choose a different set. We were cautioned against doing the sets with the class. The teacher is supposed to demonstrate and then observe the class to correct mistakes, which is not possible if they are doing the set along with the class. It's not important that a teacher can do the set, it's just important that they can explain it clearly to the student. Someone else can be used as a demo model if necessary. I asked about how to advise students during their moon cycle. The answer was no inverted postures for the first three days and longer for someone with a very heavy flow, and a LIGHT Breath of Fire and a LIGHT Rootlock for all. Good to be back ! Guest guest
> Thank you Avtar Kaur for your clear and precise answers. Tell me more about Master's Touch. How many attended? What was Ghost Ranch like? How is Yogi Bhajan and did he lecture very much? I attended in Summer of 2001 in Espanola so I would think our experiences would be quite different.
