Guest guest
Indian Basmati is a polished rice that still has the germ intact and is just as nutritious as full brown rice (from what I remember). American basmati is polished in such a way as to remove most of the germ. The "problem" with Indian rice is that it is often grown with pesticides. and finally, the problem with brown rice is that it takes a lot of energy to digest it.
