Guest guest
- Gregor Gonnella Kundalini Yoga Group Monday, October 14, 2002 7:36 PM new here Dear Gururattan Kaur (& list) Hi, I have problems with my Kundalini, it is over active. If I meditate it goes wild and sounds hurt. I often get the energy stuck in and around the solar plexus. I want to learn how to free up the blocks in my body without activating still more kundalini energy. I was thinking of asanas and like. I guess that is putting it mildly, I have been close to suicide with the energy, it can at times burn my nerves and make noises so painful that the wild is like somone cutting me with a razor blade. I guess I have to learn to went the enrgy flow without getting stuck, at is so often does. When it goes get stuck I feel compelled to meditate and that frees up the block for a while but the K energy goes wild and noises hurt so bad. Its like being stuck in a nightmarish loop. I was hoping that if I took up Kundalini Yoga some how that would make the process easier. So I've look for a class but the nearest os 8hrs away. Also I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrom which started at the same time as the Kundalini.
Guest guest
Sat Nam Gregor- I saw your original post, but I personally am not qualified to give you advice regarding controlling or minimizing kundalini energy. From my understanding, you can't really control it. But I'm speaking only from what I've read, not from experience. Regarding looking for kundalini yoga classes, there is a website with online classes associated to this list. You can find it at www.kundaliniyoga.org. Additionally, that site will link to a yoga tech site. One will give online classes and the other one will give a weekly set/meditation, as well as books, videos and CDs for purchase. I don't know what your current experience is, meaning have you ever done yoga before and do you know what kundalini yoga is. So this site may be a good start for you. There is a set on the ky site that describes how to do the nabhi kriya. That one focuses on the navel center. But I'm not positive if that is the best thing for you to do, given your experiences with the energy. I would assume that it would help, but again, I'm not a teacher. So I would definately check with others to verify that. Christa
Guest guest
Dear Gregor, You need to tell us more about yourself. If we are backed up emotionally and don't know it, then we are in for a very rough ride. If you know you are emotionally blocked then I highly recommend a body centered therapy like Bio-energetics (http://www.thepositivemind.com/HTML/intensefeelingarticle.html). The bliss is waiting for you. All real healing must process through the heart....eventually. In the mean time do cooling, stabilizing yoga sets and afterward do long Sadhana chants in the Amrit Vela (3am - 6am). Move your lips and mouth and sing from the heart. A desperate man prays better than any Saint! Dharam P.S. Guest guest
Gregor, A while back I ran across a website that is devoted to people who have had spontaneous Kundalini awakenings. It seems to be failry in- depth, perhaps you can find some answers there. Best Wishes, http://www.elcollie.com/st/st.html
Guest guest
Good morning Sharm, The spontaneous Kundalini awakening is a truly awesome and transforming process. It is intitiation by serpent fire. It is a personal and unique experience -- and it can be frightening and sometimes very painful as well. Nevertheless, it is well worth going through, although while in the initial stage of my awakening, I would not have told you that. It has to be experienced to be understood and even then, it can't be fully explained to one who has not been through it. The intensity and depth of the pain will eventually equal a powerful, but gentle, all-consuming light, love and bliss. Sat Nam SiouxB > Hi , > I checked out the website you referred Gregor to. Guest guest
Hi , I checked out the website you referred Gregor to. But it seems to portray an awakened Kundalini as something you suffer through, going through bouts of depression and isolation, before being able to fully open up to bliss. But I thought that opening up the Kundalini was a good experience, not a painful one. I am kind of confused now. Could someone tell me if the process is truly so painful? Thanks Satnam, Sharm etain369 wrote: > > Gregor, > A while back I ran across a website that is devoted to people who > have had spontaneous Kundalini awakenings. Guest guest
Hi Sharm, That website refers to people who are going through sudden, spontaneous Kundalini awakenings, which Gregor seems to be having. Ky however, teaches you to raise it slowly, so as not to have the problems described. Most of the people described on the website weren't doing anything to raise Kundalini, and are now trying to learn to manage it. >
Guest guest
Satnam, , SiouxB and the rest who responded to my questions on the dangers of KY, thanks a lot. I am a lot more reassured that its is safe, thanks. I am just going to go by the book and take it slow... Cheers, Sharm
