Guest guest
I think if you have done preetty well in you med. in kundalini it will not have happened.Do we expect all time to drop to the floor and do kundalini???NO if you have done well and understand kundalini event sitting you can do to control yourself etc, etc.,the only "bandaids " is you yourself!!!avoid Partying for time being is the Bandaid which you yourself should understands your systems. Having toxic drinks in your systems and doing kundalini is not advisible yeah!!! thank you
Guest guest
Sat Nam ya'll, Several of you have written me and expressed your concern and willingness to help me and for that I thank you. However several of you had misunderstanding of the issues invilved. Perhaps I micommunicated what was happening to me. I spent 2 days with horrible, continuous, really intense body memories. I think I did pretty well with it all, especially being a beginner at all this. I went out to a party and got (unexpectedly) a bit loaded. My attitude was, "What the heck, I did good getting this far." My question was ,"Is it or isi it not a good idea to do yoga when you have either drugs(unpresribed) or alcohol in your system? OK, drinking a bunch of martinis wasn't the best choice I could have made, but it wasn't a bad one either. I got to spend and evening with friends and not feel as though I had IV's in my arns or a big hose hanging out of my wienie. I wasn't missing any of the things I'd been feeling. Maybe we could talk about some "Crisis Kundalini". What happens if I'm out in public and start have these Body Memories again? Or any number of mental or physical crisis any of us might face? Sometimes it's just not ok to drop to the floor, pose and chant. Are there any Kundalini "bandaids" to use till you can get to where you can do the appropriate kriya, set, whatever? Here are a few things I've found helpful when I'm stressed and in a public place miles from my yoga mat. I offer this in hope that it will be useful. If I'm able to find a place to sit quietly for a few minutes, I do silent breathing exercises. For example, my job can be very stressful, and after eight hours of nonstop intensity I sometimes leave the office so wound up that I feel like I'm going to explode. Once I get on the bus I sit up straight, tune in mentally and do a breathing exercise. What I've found helpful is to take a deep breath, hold for four-to-six counts (if I'm aware of my heartbeat I use that to time the counts, mentally saying 'sat nam' with each beat), exhale fully, hold the breath out for four-to-six counts, then repeat the cycle. I can do this silently and unobtrusively. By the time I'm halfway home I feel much much better. I've also gotten some good walking meditation ideas from Gurucharan's book Breathwalk. One of my favorites is to mentally chant Sa Ta Na Ma while walking, matching breath to stride (inhale Sa Ta Na Ma in four strides, exhale Sa Ta Na Ma in four strides).
