Spinal sets / eyes

I've been doing most of the spinal exercises for a while and have noticed quite

a difference since I first started. I have no problem with the shoulder stand

or plow.

But doing the fish pose today I suddenly became nauseous, all my energy drained

instantly and I became very, very cold from within. Nothing I put on seemed to

help. A long hot shower did.

I wonder if I did someting wrong, if anyone else has experienced this, or if it

has something to do with being hypothyroid.

Now a positive mention. Last night I noticed that I didn't have to squint to

look at the time about 10 feet away. I began looking at other things across the

room and discovered that I have lost mucht of the blurriness that started to

bother me about 2 years. ago. Whatever I'm doing, something in the KY seems to

be helping.

Hi Ruth,

I have a dear friend who despite it being in the 90s most of the

summer, she never felt it. She might even have a sweater on. Her thyroid

has been as issue for her.

Regarding your eyesight improvement. It's been said that the most

imporatant organ involved in sight is not the eyes but the brain. When

we deeply relax that we "allow" ourselves to see. There is much that

been said on this.

Sat Nam Ruth-

I would like to share my eye sight improvement too. I've worn

glasses/contacts since 7th grade. In January of this year, my eyes

were 300 (L) and 275 ®. They had been pretty stable for years,

occassionally getting slightly worse. But about 2 months after

starting yoga this year, my glasses began to give me really bad

headaches. I began to only wear them when I drove. I had them checked

out and my vision had improved to 275 (L) and 225 ®. Then they

started bothering me again about a month ago, although not quite as

bad. I just had them checked again, and my prescription now dropped

to 250 (L) and 200 ®. My eyes have never actually gotten better

before. ANd the only thing different I'm doing this year that I've

never done was practice yoga and stop eating meat. I hadn't posted

earlier, because I wasn't sure about the connection between yoga and

eyesight. But when I saw your post, I had to respond. I don't know if

this will continue or not, but its been a real sense of freedom for

me. So I'm enjoying it while it lasts and whatever comes tomorrow,

comes.

Oh Christa,

how exiting to have such an improvement in your vision, thanks for sharing.

Have never eaten much meat and have cut it out too - my only temptation is

gravy. My husband has meat 1 to 2 x a week and it's starting to bother me to

see and prepare it. I have to taste the gravy of course and it still tastes

good. The meat I take is for looks and goes to the dogs after the meal. . - -

-Gravy would still be in the meat category - would it?
