Guest guest
Sat Nam All I'm new at this, well sort of. I began KY Feb this year and have only recently aquired a decent computer.. so i'm new at the computer..so I'm sorry if I make any mistakes. KY has changed my life, although I am not as into it as some of you. I needed a change and found a great teacher, who happened to teach KY, and who is kind enough to see me once a week and keep me on track. I have been doing the basic set of spinal warmups and am chanting ra ma da sa.... for 10min with 10min relaxation. This takes me just over an hour. The session I do, is not the same I do at home. I am doing my KY during my daughter's nap time at lunchtime - not ideal I know, and I have done the odd 4am thing..and will attempt to do that again. The cold showers lasted as long a summer did (I'm in New Zealand)..so I'll be looking at them again soon. My back had been giving me huge problems - lower, since the birth of my daughter, by c-section 18months ago. I have noticed the following changes in me. I am a much more balanced person, less likely to lose the plot. I question the way I spend my time, and with whom in a positive way. My body has become extremely sensitive to anything I take... i.e. food and drink ( I used to be a social diringer and smoker). I find I no longer like to cloud my mind in any way - even taking a painkiller. I am avoiding food coloring, preservatives too much salt, sugar, fat...it's almost a subconcious thing now. Not a deliberate thing. I feel like I am finding myself - my path, and am doing things that I used to do years ago and stopped, like painting. It feels quite amazing. Thanks for letting me share this. Any comments will be much appreciated. Mimi
