Guest guest
I didn't sleep well at all last night. I kept waking up about every hour or so. Whenever I did, the back of my head was buzzing very strong and my ears were ringing louder than normal. I woke up again around 5, and decided to 'sleep in' till 5:30 and then get up to do sadhana. I had closed my eyes, and was in that half awake/half asleep stage when I started having this dream. I was in a basement of a building and hit a switch. When I did, one by one, the lights started going out. I began to run towards the exit. I headed for the stairs, because I knew the elevators wouldn't work without electricity. A man, the foreman, was heading my direction from the stairwell. As I was running, I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool if I could jump over him." Then I jumped, and could feel myself rise up, but I didn't land. I kept floating up. I saw a hole and tried to steer myself through it, but couldn't. The walls were made of rock, and as I floated, I would get images of faces that would vaguely appear in the rock. I couldn't look up to see where I was heading and I began to get scared. Then I felt this pull and a very loud voice said "I'll put it back". As it said that I began to wake up. And as I woke up, my entire body was tingling like crazy. As soon as I opened my eyes, I began to look for someone. The voice was so real, it felt like I heard it in my bedroom, but nothing was there. I just layed there a few more minutes and calmed down. I was afraid to close my eyes again in case it happened again. It really freaked me out. It felt very real. I've had a few dreams where I had the sensation of floating, but I had never experienced anything like that before. I got up and did my sadhana. But my body is still tingling and my ears are still ringing louder than normal. Anyone ever experience something like this before? Any ideas on what happened? Actually, with practice, you can learn to control them and have them at will. If you think this may be what it was, try checking out http://www.tanega.com/astral/astral.html there is lots of theory and info on the subject. Guest guest
Hi Christa, i had float out of my body before i think. i suddenly found myself beside my bed(shoud be floating) then i moved toward the door. i got scared and i thought of going back. i sort of floated back to my body and i jolted and woke up. the was the first time and only experience that i had. addition to that, sometime when i was about to fall asleep, i found myself frozen, unable to move and speak. i struggled for a while and i managed to free myself. i had experienced all these before i start practising KY... i also had not much idea of what had happened. kind of scary experience. yikai I was afraid to close my eyes again > in case it happened again. Guest guest
People spend a lot of time in their astral body during sleep. The transition, or seperation between the physical and astral is usually smooth and imperceptible but sometimes it is the opposite. Just relax and accept that this experience is trying to give you something. Also check to make sure the navel centre is strong and you are not having nervous system problems. Guest guest
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I looked up some info on out-of- body experciences. But I don't think that's what this was. I never 'saw' my body. I also didn't have "360' vision" or feel other side effects described as typical of them. I'm not real clear on the difference between astral body and out-of-body experience, but I will read up on that as well. And Seva, I don't believe that my navel center is very strong. I've started doing nabhi kriya this week. And I'll continue that for awhile. Could a weak navel center have caused those sensations to occur? I didn't realize that.
