Yes, Dearest Gururattan kaur, my heart hopes and weeps with you - I know of the sadness and pain and my prayers are with you both. The joy, unconditional love, the affection, total devotion and understanding these little beings bring to our lives have no equal. The precious essence of their being ingrains itsself into our hearts making them part of our innermost selves and making their loss almost unbearable. I thought a month of constant up's and down's might ease our farewell. but losing Barkley last night has brought me to deepest despair. I talked and prepared him for his walk through the other door and found two tears rolling out of his eyes. The slight wag of his tail tried to give me comfort to the end. What mantras or meditations are there to help him on the other side or keep in contact with his little essence and what to still the pain in my heart?
