Guest guest
Hello, I was a diver with diplomas, and a sump diver (no more now). I had an apnea of 2'50 at age 15. Then one day, in 1979 (I was then 30), after a few months of regular long distance running, I felt the urge to test my apnea. I easily went up to 4', 4'30'' and 5', then 5'12. I had never done that before and the only explanation I could find was the fact I was running 5 to 18 miles two or three times a week. My lungs were 5.2 liters as measured at the army. But running nearly doubled my ability.for breath retention. I am still today at 5.180 liters. Then in 1998 I went to India and began practicing yoga. Since I had a good breath I realized soon this might be a way to raise Kundalini and went on working my breatn. I still do today at least 3 hours a day of conscious breathing techniques. You can practice any place, any time, without anyone noticing. I have not reached the level when you can do it without being conscious of what you do. In January 1999 I went up to 5'47, which is just something I never thought I could have done. I still run 6 miles two times a week when the weather is good and I am 53. My sport medical doctor agrees with me to the fact it is not usual to improve one's breath at 50. So I put the benefit on the breath of fiire and other techniques. Greetings from France, Froggy Jacques nb : By the way, apnea once saved my life as you can read at : http://jdsetls.virtualave.net/gopher_s_death.html -- Jacques De Schryver http://www.jdsetls.virtualave.com\kundalini.html http://www.shuttercity.com/ShowGallery.cfm?AcctID=797 http://membres.lycos.fr/lsteven/
Guest guest
Do you mean by apnea - lung capacity? In the diving context do you mean closing of the throat? Your name also sounds very familiar to me. I was wondering what kind of work do you do. Seva Simran

Guest guest
Hello Nabil, The message you quoted (apnea to 5'47) was mine. I dont know if it can help. The core is that log and mid distance running improved my breath tremendously. Guest guest
I have asthma and sinus problems too. Living near the water, dampness, found mold inside the little cottage that has no insulation, want to move to a climate that is dryer up north. What do you do when you can't move yet, but must cope with it, as my doctor said. I go to the health food store and have tried many things, nothing works for me so far. Deanna on West Island P.S.
