Guest guest
Sat Nam ya'll, Please, please, please make sure that you have consulted a physician BEFORE you quit taking meds like anti-depressants. You're feeling good now? Good, that's what they are supposed to do. I've been taking anti-depressants for over 10 years now - and baby, I neeed 'em! I've gotten to feeling good and quit them myself from time to time. I usually don't realize how I've hurt myself till i get to the point where I start crying about 5 min before I wake up. Chemical imbalance in the brain? You bet! So please. It was probably not a snap decision to get o them, don't make a snap decision to get off. MOST anti-depressants have side effect if you quit, especially when you quit cold turkey. (I know from personnal experience that Zoloft has some big ones.) Consult your Physicians! You may be feeling better because the meds. are doing thier job. ALL LOVE Sat Nam, Leo

You're feeling good now? Good, that's what they are supposed to do. Leo, I couldn't agree with you more. It took me 3 months to decide to stop taking them and only with the assistance of my doctor. Fortunately, I'm in a much different space than 4 years ago. And believe me, I know that the medication helped! And yes, you NEVER want to quit them cold turkey. The physiological withdrawals are terrible, even weening off of them. > Consult your Physicians! You may be feeling better because the meds. are doing thier job. My problem was the meds were making me feel worse. My doctor agreed (in my case) that getting off of them would be best. However, I have relayed this to my friends and family and asked for their support, i.e. If they notice any inappropriate behavior or that I'm back to the extreme highs and lows to give me holler.
