Sat Nam ya'll,

I noticed while reading in "TRANSITIONS" that the MAGIC MANTRA has a note

saying the mantra was best used forward then backwards. Is this true for

all/most mantras?

Does it matter which comes first, the excercise or the meditation?

Sat Nam, Leo

Yeah! Leo, you finally ask a question that I know the answer too.

(Well, it's only ONE of your questions that I know that answer to)

Which came first: the meditation or the exercise? (ok, so it's been a

long day - that's just what popped into my head right now)

In order to prepare the mind for meditation (stilling the mind) you

are supposed to do the exercises first, the pranayam also. When

exercises, mudras and breathing are done together, they have a

calming affect on the mind. Thus preparing the mind for meditation.

Also, regarding the amount of 'stuff' in Transitions. I can TOTALLY

relate. When mine came, I think I went through it saying "ooh, I need

that one.....and I need that one too.........and that one looks

pretty interesting......and this one would really help me...." I was

just totally overwhelmed. I didn't know where to start. When you read

them, they all sound important and somehow or another all fit

something that you need to work on. You actually have a really good

idea, that I see Gururattan has 'stamped' with approval. I hadn't

even thought of doing that. After a bunch of thought, I started with

what I felt was my weakest area, and just picked two meditations

focused on that. I'm just now adding some new kriyas to the

meditations. I was afraid to mix stuff up too much, so I tried to

keep it somewhat steady. But I think I may begin some new stuff too.
