combining different postures

Sat Nam everyone!

I was curious if there were certain rules, guidelines, do's/dont's

for praciticing individual postures. For example, in the morning, my

sadhana usually comprises one of the two following versions:

1) Alternate Nostril Breathing, Set for Balancing Head and Heart and

the meditation is usually the Heart Opener meditation; or

2) Alternate Nostril Breathing, Sat Kriya, Heart Strengthening

meditation and/or Heart Opener meditation

I will sometimes add Archer pose or stretch pose to version 2 and I

will occasionally exchange nabhi kriya for the Head/Heart balancing

set in version 1. I don't think there's a problem in doing this, but

I wanted to ask to make sure. Are there certain postures that should

or should not be combined and why?

Thanks!

Christa

This is a good order i.e. breathing, set, meditation.

This is fine too. As a rule we do Sat Kriya as the last exercise before

relaxation and then meditation.

Do the odd exercise before the set or kriya and Sat kriya generally.

Sat Nam,
