Guest guest
Its funny. I was going to type something else in the subject line. I had my fingers on the keyboard ready to type, when all of a sudden one of Pieter's old posts jumped into my mind. I remembered a phrase in it about 'meditation in motion,' which is what I was about to post on. (very odd) Anyways....The past two days I've been experiencing something new for me. My evening sadhana is still usually the Maintaining a Flexible Spine set. Although I've done this one the most since starting ky this year, the past two days I've reached a different threshold with it. I have found myself not just doing the postures, but mentally feeling like I'm meditating at the same time. Its like I'm moving and breathing into each posture as I always do, but mentally my mind feels like it's in a fairly deep meditation as I do it. Which is why I think Pieter's "meditation in motion" comment jumped into my mind. That's exactly what I feel like. My body is moving, but my mind is meditating on the posture and movement. Its been a wonderful feeling, almost trance like. I finish sadhana feeling very relaxed and refreshed and ready for bed. Just wanted to share with everyone! Guest guest
hi christa, I am also keeping the spinal set in my sadana, and I am also finding that my experience of it slowly changes. At first, I had to do the whole set before to start to feel relax and have my mind focusing on one thing. Now, more and more, I can start to feel relaxed and focused after some minutes. It is still really difficult to keep my mind focused only on the breathing and the movements, thoughts come in and out at crazy speed, I don¹t even have the time to recongnize it! But more and more, I see that my mind is slowly getting "trained" on focusing, and the relaxation stage come more easily. And yes, it feels really good m-c > Its funny.
