Guest guest
Greetings Everyone, I'm looking for some suggestions for videos mostly. I have three women in my life: my Mother, my Sister, and my Mother-after-the-fact. My Mother has had two bouts with breast cancer, the first was a radical mastectomy and the second, a lumpectomy in the same reconstructed breast. My Sister had a six pound, malignant ovarian tumor removed this year and underwent three bouts of intensive chemotherapy, requiring hospitalization due to the fact that she has a history of anorexia/bulimia. My Mother-after-the-fact just underwent surgery today for the removal of several large calcified fibroids. I'm looking for a good beginners Kundalini video to send them that focuses on balancing the feminine energies. Does anyone have a few gems they could recommend. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Daniel
Guest guest
Hi Daniel Regarding books, I can recommend Transitions to a Heart Centered World by Gururattan. This is her best-selling Kundalini Yoga manual, is a great overall introduction and is filled with illustrated KY sets and meditations, along with a lot of basic information. transitions.html For videos, check out Ravi Singh's Golden Yoga - I quote - "You're as old as you feel, and this Kundalini Yoga video for Seniors (& all ages) will make you feel great. Learn gentle but powerful techniques that allow you to become more limber, increase your vitality, & live a more vibrant joy-filled life. Do this every day & watch the years drain away. This tape is also good for pregnant women, persons convalescing & those who are not used to doing vigorous exercise." kyvideos.html This is the only Ravi Singh video that is really suitable for complete beginners - his other titles tend to be more suitable for those who have done at least some yoga previously. Finally, check out the Beginners' series of videos or DVDs from Nirvair Singh Khalsa. These are currently on offer from Yoga Technology. The complete set comes at a discount and also with a free copy of Gururattan's "Introduction to Kundalini Yoga". kybegin.html I hope this information helps you in your quest. Sat Nam! Guest guest
Dear Daniel, > I'm looking for some suggestions for videos mostly. I have three women in my life: my Mother, my Sister, and my Mother-after-the-fact. I think Gordon recommended Golden Yoga since it is easy and there is more space to incorporate self love. I also recommend my book The Destiny of Women is the Destiny of the world. There are a few simple exercises, meditations on claiming and connecting to feminine power. The rest of the book is inspirational. Many women have told me they keep it at there bedside and read it before going to sleep. It is filled with a lot of love. We all need to love ourselves more.
