staying in the heart center

The past few months I've made conscious efforts to try and 'watch'

myself and others, as well as keep my presence in the heart center.

I'm just beginning to open that area up (little bits of light are

seeping through the cracks -- so still in the early stages). But

beyond ky, I'm trying to keep present to my body and thoughts

throughout the day, which is easier said than done. I'm not sure what

was different about yesterday, but several things happened which

hadn't before that I wanted to share.

First, I had to do a day trip between FL and CT yesterday for work,

which meant up at 4:30 to have time for yoga and get to the airport.

And yes, that's the first time I was up that early to do yoga. I

usually get up at 5:30/6. I didn't have time to do a full set, so I

just did 3 minutes of ANB, 5 minutes of Ra Ma Da Sa for Yogi Bhajan

and 3 minutes of Sat Kriya.

I spent most of my day in airports or airplanes, which is not usually

the most conducive areas for staying in your heart. But for much of

the day, I found myself able to observe instead of being a part of

what was happening. And the most bizarre thing, I was standing in the

airport and feeling energy running through my body and feeling an

energy ball almost pulsing in my heart center. That's only happened a

few times for me before, and it was always during yoga. And I had

those sensations for over an hour. I could feel myself smiling

inside. It was one of those "warm and fuzzy" feelings. I watched

people around me and felt distant but at the same time there. It was

very strange.

I'm still very far from the realizations that Pieter describes so

eloquently. But experiencing 'baby steps' along the way like above

helps to keep me motivated. I am SO looking forward to 'experiencing

God', but the journey to get to that point is also very satisfying

and rewarding.

You already are. God is what is always there when you come back to IT.
