Guest guest
Sat Nam Thanks for the answer. I've heard also too with the sacrifices in the vedic tradition. I heard that the animal would give its live ( voluntary or not) to be sacrificed because the animal will receive blessings and become more sacred, therefore, the animal soul would evolve faster in his evolution and reach a human body sooner. it does not make sense to me at all. And here is another question: "Why are the animals here in this planet" ? Why is their purpose and what's the relation with humans ? I also heard that if animals are close to humans, they can learn more because we are suppose to be superior and they know it. Therefore, they can give us "something" in return for their accelerated learning. What do you think ? Sat nam Ajai Singh
Guest guest
Sat Nam Ajai Singh I've been following this thread (and the one about milk and yoga) since it started, but I'm not qualified to answer any of the questions you've posed. However, I had to smile at the one below: > And here is another question: > "Why are the animals here in this planet" ? Why is their purpose and > what's the relation with humans ? While I am completely amazed at the knowledge and understanding that Dharam, Seva Simran and others on this list have, I don't think any of them could definitively answer this question for you. IMHO, the only one who can answer that is God. And until we are evolved enough to be able to understand his whole vision, I think we each simply need to do what 'feels right' for each of us. There isn't a good/bad on this issue. I think everyone is at a different level. And what's 'right' for one person could feel wrong for another. As long as we are each true to ourselves and what we feel we are doing, then the rest will fall into place. And God will recognize us for doing just that, following what our heart tells us is the right thing to do. Just my 2 cents on the issue. Guest guest
Just to set the record straight...........I am not talking about animals sacrificing their lives, as in being killed for food or ritual sacrifices. I'm talking about animals having a desire to be of service. Whether or not this is currently practiced, or has been practiced, is not the point. What is right and should be fostered in our culture is the point. luispalado wrote: > Sat Nam > > Thanks for the answer. > > I've heard also too with the sacrifices in the vedic tradition. > I heard that the animal would give its live ( voluntary or not) to be > sacrificed because the animal will receive blessings and become more > sacred, therefore, the animal soul would evolve faster in his > evolution and reach a human body sooner. > > it does not make sense to me at all. Guest guest
The animal kingdom holds all the different threads of consciousness that make up the human experience, and which are actualised into awareness when souls become human. Thus when some piece of consciusness become completely redundant species disappear naturally. For instance, as many forms of wildlife are eliminated you see a vast uptake in the pet population as God tries to insure the consciousness of humanity survives. However, when do to our excess we destroy the animal kingdom we threaten that piece of ourselves birthed in the animal kingdom and made conscious as a human. As well, sometimes souls incarnate into animal bodies to perform certain services, for the fun of it, or because of temporary karma. Certain animals are now becoming ensouled (developing independent consciousness) in a way similar to humans and are developing their own independent stream. Whether they will play this out on earth or go somewhere else with the earth simply being the launching pad for a new type of being remains to be seen.
